How the CSA Works

The CSA Year
Our CSA year runs from June-December. In 2016 we are offering a summer season membership (June-Sept) or a full year membership (June-December). To register, please click here to fill out the form.

What's in the Bag?
The types of produce that are available change throughout the seasons. Each week we will email you a preview list of which produce we expect to include in the upcoming delivery. The list will be set up as a survey, allowing you to indicate if there are any items you don’t want and if there are any items you would like extra of (if available). There is no additional charge for extra items and no refund for items you choose not to receive. If we don’t receive a survey from you on any given week, we will simply give you the regular items for that week with no modifications.

Please note: Requests for extra produce are only for your household, not for sharing with friends and neighbors (because there is no additional charge for extras). Please honor our hard work and request only what you need for your family.

Subscription Options: Our regular size subscriptions have 8-10 types of produce per week. The small size had 5-6 types of produce per week. If you cook most days of the week and/or have 3+ people in your family, then the regular size is probably best. If you cook less frequently and/or have fewer people in your family, then the small size is probably a good fit for you.

You can choose to get a bag either on a weekly or biweekly (every other week) basis. Biweekly customers will be assigned to “Week A” or “Week B” and will remain with that schedule throughout the season regardless of any missed weeks.

Eggs: We offer pasture-raised, free-range eggs for $5/dozen. Some of the eggs come from our farm, and some come from our friends’ homestead in Gilroy. (Note: The eggs are not technically organic because we give them conventionally grown feed in an effort to keep costs reasonable.)  Eggs this year are available on a first-come-first served basis at the farm on CSA pick up days. Eggs are for CSA members only.

Delivery/Pick-Up: You can choose to have your veggies delivered conveniently to your door or to pick up your bag at the farm (in southwest Morgan Hill) for a discounted rate. Deliveries will be Wednesdays after 12pm. Delivery is only offered within Morgan Hill. At the pick-up locations, bags will be available after 2pm. It is the member’s responsibility to remember to pick up the CSA bag. Bags that have not been picked up after 24 hours will be donated, and no refund will be given.

Vacation Holds: You may put your subscription on hold with a 1-week minimum notice. Credit for missed weeks can be applied to the following season.

Farm Visits: We encourage all our members to visit the farm and see where your food comes from. We will offer a couple farm events throughout the year, which we hope you will attend. Although we encourage our members to visit, the farm is also our home, so it is not open to the general public for drop-in visits.
